Dear Alan ,
Welcome to Volume 8, 2010 of the McCartney Multimedia Newsletter.
As they say on both Wall Street and in the NFL - "we made it to the 4th quarter!" This year has seen ups and downs for many folks around the world and the nation, and so we are especially thankful at this time of the year to be thriving, busy and healthy. Ms. Angie just celebrated her 81st birthday and according to an expert who keeps track of such things, actually received more Facebook greetings than the Queen of England! We iChatted with Germany, called with England, Skyped with Australia and Russia and texted with Beijing! Thanks to all of you around the globe who remembered. So to the happenings at McCartney Multimedia. We've been busy re-branding logos for clients, converting sites to work on smart phones and iPads, creating T-shirt designs, shooting and editing video in Palm Springs, creating rich media Real Estate content to link to ConnectCode® locations (see article below), recording guitars and vocals for the new music libraries, programming a custom application for measuring carbon footprints, working on Angie's book, sending out press releases and email blasts for clients, creating official Wikipedia profiles for business clients, releasing 8 new albums on iFanz Records in iTunes and of course building web sites - which is, after all, what we do! It always amazes me when people say "I didn't know you built web sites" Yep. Since 1994;)
This meant there was no real time for creating Halloween costumes, and so I decided to roll up some soda cans in a wig, doctor up some sunglasses, don my best "Sue Sylvester" track suit and go as the "Gaga Episode of Glee". So, if you were wondering what in the heck that picture is all about...I haven't totally lost my mind - it was all in the spirit of Tim and Don's traditional fabuloso holiday kick off party. And candy was had by all. So, grab a cup of tea and catch up on all the rest of the latest news and products. Cheers, Ruth
Summit Entertainment Holiday Kick Off

Another great night out in Hollywood. On behalf of McCartney Multimedia, we would like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press (Hans and Yoko) for the invitation to the Summit Entertainment Hollywood Holiday Mixer at BOA Steak House in Beverly Hills. Summit is the studio which produced the Twilight series, RED, The Ghost Writer starring actor, activist and artist Pierce Brosnan, Eclipse, Resident Evil and more. Ruth got to chatting with fellow "scouser" Liverpool native Kim Cattrall, and they tried their best accents out on each other! The event was great, ad the food and service at BOA was truly outstanding! However, there was also a somber note when the crowd fondly remembered PR Super Agent Ronni Chasen. Hollywood is still in shock at her tragic murder, and the Beverly Hills Police Department is frantically searching for clues in this mysterious homicide.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL BUTLER The brainchild of NASA scientist Dr. Kathryn Clark, this "damage calculator" will help you find out if you've been naughty or nice. It makes a great gift to give someone who has "big feet" when it comes to their carbon footprint.
Everyone knows that our environmental issues are no laughing matter, but there is no reason we can't enjoy ourselves while striving to do something about them. The Environmental Butler takes a bit of light-hearted tone in requesting money to work to solve some big problems through creative and innovative designs for a sustainable future. Donations from the Environmental Butler can go to one of four areas of concern:
- Providing Potable Water
- Cleaning up Pollution
- Rescuing the Oceans
- Designing for a Sustainable Future

Neil Merryweather When Neil came back to LA from Europe he called Space Rangers band mate Jamie Herndon to put together a unit to record some new songs. Jamie had just finished his association with the Nick Guilder band. Neil was introduced to drummer Dusty Watson by fellow bass player and Space Rangers fan Raymond Marzano. Neil took Jamie and Dusty into the studio where they recorded ten new songs in two nights. This was the beginning of Hundred Watt Head. The true craft of song writing with the art of amazing players. Check it out. |
Palisades Drive Based out of Pacific Palisades, the band comes from all over the city of LA. Friends since high school, they’ve stayed together and stayed friends because of those Sunday afternoons they spend making music together. The fact that their music is made freely out of the same creative drive they bring to the rest of their lives keeps it from ever getting old. Now, five years later, they’re interested in taking their music out to the rest of the country, hoping to find some kindred souls. |

Angie's One Liners
Observations on male and female: Freezer bags are male, because they hold everything in and you can see right through them Sponges are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated Egg timers are female, because over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom Hammers are male, because in the last 5000 years they've hardly changed at all, but are occasionally handy to have around. Web pages are female, because they are constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.
Hang out with Angie on Facebook.
